Up until now, the metal butt straps were provided using spiral conveyors and a gripper unit. In the event of a format change, the complete feeding unit had to be converted.

Starting point

In order to handle the various future product types, a flexible system should be developed, which can be modularly docked to all available systems. 
The metal butt straps are conveyed by means of automated shaking on a conveyor platform, where the robot fetches the correctly aligned metal butt straps. The metal butt straps are suctioned with a vacuum suctioner and are deposited and swiveled in the swiveling unit. After swiveling, the metal butt strap is picked up again and fed to an intermediate magazine.
