Test setup for Swiss retailers
This vision testing system aimed to develop a solution for the effective and fast handling of transport crates. The detection and localisation of codes on transport containers was tested in the proof of concept.
«One Shot» capture
The developed vision testing system captures all the codes of the containers in a pallet stack, including the exact position of the codes, in a single scan.
Image capture during movement
While the stack of containers is moving (speed of 1 m/s), the vision station takes a "one shot" of the entire stack in the defined field of vision of 2 x 1.3 metres.
4 cameras cover the field of vision
Each camera captures a part of the pallet stack. The cameras' fields of view overlap so that the entire stack is covered.
Not without proper illumination
Thanks to optimised lighting, detailed images are created that make the small codes on each individual transport crate legible. With these important findings from this test series, we can further expand and perfect our complex tasks in the vision inspection of transport containers.
