From Arbon to Connecticut: A Portrait of aerne engineering

Automation solutions from aerne engineering help drive efficient production processes around the world. How did this come about? And what does it take to successfully implement projects across continents? The Zukunft Arbon initiative spoke to our Co-CEO, Swen Fürer, to find out.

Around 6,000 kilometres separate Arbon from Danbury, Connecticut, in the United States. And yet, the two locations are closely connected: at Swiss company Belimo, highly automated systems developed by aerne engineering are also in operation in the US. They manufacture components for the energy-efficient control of heating and ventilation systems. The collaboration began in Switzerland and was later extended to Belimo’s US production site.

What does it take to build a successful partnership across continents? What role do technical expertise and on-site service play – and how is aerne engineering preparing for the future? In an interview with Zukunft Arbon, Swen Fürer talks about international customer projects, the people behind them, and the importance of skilled professionals.
